Dr. Shores attended Auburn University to earn an undergraduate degree in Zoology and then attended the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with her DVM in 2008.
Dr. Shores has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery in the North Dallas-Fort Worth area ever since.
Growing up around her dad, currently the Chief of Neurosurgery & Neurology at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shores was continually immersed in a learning environment around animals. While this naturally contributed to her career choice, it also served to develop a drive for knowledge and excellence, as well as a passion for improving the quality of life of her canine and feline patients. Dr. Shores has special interests in soft tissue surgery, specifically surgical oncology and reconstructive surgery, as well as neurology and cytology.
Dr. Shores and her husband Marcus live in Oak Point with their two boys, Nolan and Liam, along with 3 dogs and 2 cats. She looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
